We get this a lot...
Managing painful conditions mean dealing with it and juggle with work, family, sports, and more. Patients see a physio because they want the pain gone. But overtime, it can feel frustrating.
Any physios you see have a formula.
The formula taught in university. Advocated by scholars and researchers. Supported by the general physio community...
They give you:
- An exercise program, often 10+ exercises you'd spend 45 min each day
- Put heat or ice
- Take some panadol and neurofen
- Rest but not too much - keep moving but don't lift too heavy
- Come back in 2 weeks. We will see if we need to change some of the exercises
And of course, when you pay at the counter, you realise:
- My pain is still there
- The physio didn't even feel my body, they just talked
- How would they know what's wrong with me
And two weeks later... Your pain is still there. I don't mind paying, but this doesn't work. Let's cancel the appointment.
We believe what differentiate a good physio with a great one are:
- Good physio helps you through recovery
- Great physio speed it up
There is a consensus that exercise based physio practice works in long term. Studies have consistently concluded effective outcomes in 6-12 months.
Research says you will be:
- Seeing a physio every week
- You will be doing staged exercises at least 30 minutes a day.
- Finally, you will be fixed by month 12.
LR physios do is we beat them in speed.
Because we don't rely on your body own recovery mechanism. We don't need to wait for the body to strengthen We utilise interventions and treatments that accelerate recovery and reduce pain.
Quicker recovery means:
- You don't miss out on important event
- You return to sports or work quicker
- More time doing what you love
- More importantly, Better for your wallet. It's much cheaper to get in sorted quick than seeing a physio once a week 52 times (and to be frank, you know you can't be that consistent).
You walk out feeling different with us.
We prioritise delivering real, measurable improvements such as:
• Reducing your pain
• Improving your movement
• Helping you return to work, sport, or daily life sooner
We achieve that by giving you treatments that makes a difference. Not exercises and lecture.
When visiting a general physio clinics , you will end up with exercise sheets and advice you might already know before the appointment. Not exactly the outcomes you are looking for.
Many patients tell us the same thing after seeing other clinics:
"I was given exercises, but I barely received any treatment."
At LR, treatment is guaranteed in every session.
As an interventional physiotherapy clinic, we focus on therapies that actively help reduce pain and restore movement.
Depending on your condition, your treatment may include:
• Hands-on manual therapy
• Dry needling
• Shockwave therapy
• Joint mobilisation
• Soft tissue therapy
• Targeted rehabilitation
Exercise and education are still important — but they are combined with treatment that actually helps change your symptoms.
You will never leave your session feeling like you only received advice.
Recovering from pain shouldn’t feel like a second job.
Many people tell us their previous physio experience looked like this:
• A long list of exercises
• 30–45 minutes of daily rehab at home
• Constantly wondering “Am I doing this right?”
• Unsure if it’s actually helping
For people like you who are busy with work, family, and life, this can quickly become overwhelming and frustrating.
We simplify your recovery.
You can rely on our physiotherapists to provide the right treatment at the right time — so you know you would feel different coming out
This means you’re not spending hours every week trying to manage everything yourself and still unsure that they are helping

In a nutshell, you will book in with one of our interventional physiotherapist.
On the first visit, you can expect our interventional physiotherapists
1. assess and learn about your condition
2. treatment, treatment, treatment
3. right of the bat, treatment will be given on the first visit.
4. They will be treatment appropriate to your condition at the stage of recovery
5. Be prepared you can expect more than one treatment approach to be recommended and given if they are appropriate to be used together
You will understand you condition and the recovery timeframe. You will also be informed about the level of recovery that we are working towards
It is reasonable to expect some condition we can bring back to 100%, but some we can't.
This is the conversation you are going to have with our interventional physio. To answer the questions what is the reasonable expectation, how long will it take, what treatment will be required and what is the plan at each stage of recovery.
Often immediately.
Of course it depends on the conditions. Over 80% of our clients feel immediate relieve of their symptoms walking of of our treatment rooms.
Overall recovery timeframe does vary. However, our goals is to show noticeable changes in symptoms within 2 weeks and functional changes within the first 6-12 weeks.
Some client stops their visit at this stage. And it is absolutely acceptable. You should feel that you can do the things you need or love without much issues. Almost returning to pre-injury/flare up level now.
After this, it is about injury prevention and getting to the "root cause" of the issue. We refer this to stage 3 and 4 recovery. It is about how we can reduce the risk of flare up or reinjury in the future.
Let say you have a had a lower back pain for 20 years. We can admit that we can't 100% cure it in just 6-12 weeks.
So, what we do is we spend time and effort in stage 3 and 4 to reduce the frequency of flare up (say every half year from every month), level of pain each flare up (say self manageable pain from debilitating 10/10 pain) and ease of flare up (just bending down VS after painting the whole house in a weekend).
I would say roughly 50% of our clients continue on their journey to stage 3 and 4.
The rest would have a very good run until their next flare up. And then we fix them up so they can function again.
No. Although it is common to that client see us for help after many rounds of failed treatment, we do see a number of conditions that they never seen anyone before.
Either ways, clients tends to stay with us because they can see better results
Yes! We encourage you bring along you loved ones or someone you trust.
One they become your moral support (who likes to see a doctor let alone physio), but it also help us touching more lives, showcasing what we can do to help.
Often times we end up seeing all your siblings and cousins because they see the results!
Not going to lie, it is a process that you and our physio go through together.
It will depends on the goals that you set with your interventional physio.
For common conditions, like chronic lower back pain, it is often we see immediate symptoms relieve (but we are physios we like to talk conservatively, so say it takes up to 2 weeks to see noticeable changes in symptoms). Clients would feel improvement in pain. They can do more in the daily life. Pain is less irritable and not as easily aggravated.
Some client will stop treatment at this stage. Roughly after 4 -5 sessions.

The rest would have a very good run until their next flare up. And then we fix them up so they can function again.
